Round 1 of the British Youth Championship for 125cc and 150cc Riders

15th April 2017

Round 1 of the British Youth Championship concludes at Peterborough on Monday afternoon, after Peterborough’s fixture with Ipswich.

The 500cc and 250cc competed last Sunday, so this Monday riders riding 150cc and 125cc will be competing over 24 qualifying heats plus a winner takes all final.

Harry McGurk who will be favourite to be crowned British Champion this season competes with his younger brother Sam, and also a number of riders who will be competing in their first British Youth Round.

A few other names to look out for will be the Peterborough mascot Mickie Simpson, Luke Harrison who is returning from a broken wrist, and Beau Stonehewer who is the son of former Grand Prix Rider Carl.

If this weeks event is anything like last Sundays, then there is plenty to look forward too.

British Youth Speedway would like to thank their Series Sponsors, and the Peterborough promotion for agreeing to host the round.
