Adam Ellis and Josh Bates are traveling to Liberec in the Czech Republic this weekend to represent Great Britain in the European Pairs. GB Youth Boss Neil Vatcher said, “we are delighted to be able to ride in this competition, as I have been asking the BSPA for a number of years now for our younger riders to have more experience riding in these type of competitions. I was delighted this winter when I approached the Management Committee and they said that we could, on the understanding that we were to send younger riders who would benefit from this experience bearing in mind that it is a senior event, and also that the riders selected would not miss any fixtures for their British clubs.
With Adam only riding in 1 league in the UK that was not too difficult for him to do this meeting, and I would like to go on record of thanking Damien Bates who is involved at both of Josh’s UK club’s for working around Josh being able to fit this fixture in.” With both riders narrowly missing out of qualification of the World U21s only last weekend , both riders are extra keen to get a top 3 place on Saturday afternoon to qualify for the Pairs final.
