Statement from Neil Vatcher

I was absolutely gutted to receive a call on Friday afternoon from the NHS Track and Trace service to inform both myself and Jackie, that we had been in contact with someone within the last 5 days that has been tested positive with Covid 19, meaning we now have to self-isolate for a period of 10 days from the date of the contact.

This means unfortunately we will be unable to attend the 2nd round of the British Youth Championship at Redcar on Sunday.

I am so disappointed to miss the Youth Round tomorrow, as in the 12 years in this role this will only be the 2nd ever round that I have missed, and the previous one was when we had 2 events on the same night including an Under 21 qualifier at Stoke which I attended, whilst Phil Morris who shared the role at the time attended the Youth Round on the same night which took place at Leicester.

I would like to thank Jamie Swales at Redcar who will look after the Youth Riders at Redcar tomorrow in my absence, and with Jamie who is familiar with all these riders through his role as Northern Junior League Coordinator, I know there will be no issues.
