Redcar Bears to host British U19 Final

The Young Lions are delighted to confirm that the 2022 British Under 19 Final will be held at the home of the Redcar Bears on Thursday 21st July (tapes up 7.30pm).

GB Youth boss Neil Vatcher commented,

“Redcar as a club have been fantastic support to the British Youth events over the years and to get the chance to go back to such a great venue is something we will all be looking forward to.

Once the Redcar promotion had confirmed the date it only took about 10 minutes for all the qualified riders to confirm their attendance which shows that it is a venue and track that everyone enjoys going to.”

The Young Lions would also like to thank the Directors of the BSP Ltd for allowing us to run this event on a Premiership Race night as it does not clash with any of the riders fixtures therefore all the riders were available to ride without causing problems with their clubs.

And our continued appreciation to the Promoters and owners at Redcar speedway for their support again in 2022 .

The 16 rider line up is packed full of riders who are capable of taking the title and have plenty of experience of the Ecco Arena. One thing that is certain, is that 2022 will see a new champion crowned, as 2021 winner and three times title holder Drew Kemp is no longer eligible to race in the competition due to his age.
