4th May 2015
With the future of British Youth Speedway counting the days to the first round of the 2015 Mitas British Youth Round to be held at the Eddie Wright Raceway Scunthorpe on Sunday 10th May at a 3pm start, it has been confirmed as the biggest attendance to date with a massive 51 riders signed up to ride. The first of six rounds, will have a mammoth 55 races which includes the 4 finals for the 4 different classes 500cc, 250cc, 150cc and 125cc.
British Youth Boss, Neil Vatcher said “this is very exciting times to be involved in the future of British Speedway with so much positivity surrounding the future of British Speedway, and everyone right from the top at the BSPA, SCB and ACU all working closely together to try and get the Brits back at the top of British Speedway again.”
With the senior team about to name their World Team Cup Squad and for the first time entering the European Pairs, there is so much for British Speedway Fans to look forward to this summer, which also includes the start this coming weekend of the British Youth Championships.
For the first time in this championship the 500cc and 250cc have been very kindly sponsored by Mitas Tyres, so all competitors will have the option of using a brand new tyre for this championship for the very first time.
Also, an extra incentive for the winner of the 500cc class is that they will get a wild card for the British Under 19 Final 7 days after being crowned British Youth Champion in September.
It all builds up to be a great summer of British Youth Speedway and we are all counting the days until next Sunday.
We are very lucky to have the support of some great backers which as well as Mitas Tyres, we have Wessex Marine, Friends of Speedway, Nuneaton Speedway Supporters Club, PBHS of Barnsley, Duck Smart Cleaning Products and Trend Creative.
