Young Lions Management are delighted to announce that the 2015 British Under 21 Champion Kyle Howarth has been selected for the Wild Card for Round 2 of the World Under 21 Final at Lublin Poland.
GB Youth Boss Neil Vatcher said, “this is fantastic news for both Kyle and British Speedway, that now at Round 2 on the 15th August GB will have 2 representatives in this Final, and we must thank the members of the FIM Committee for giving Kyle the vote for one of the Wild Cards for this event. As Under 21 Team Manager it is my job to get the best British riders as much experience and exposure as we can, and along with full time World Under 21 finalist Stefan Nielsen no one deserves a place in the Under 21 final more than Kyle”.
At his Semi Final, Kyle was one of the highest scoring riders who missed out on a permanent place in these finals, and also only missed out after losing a run off for the last qualifying place to Australian Brady Kutz.
Vatcher said, “when it was confirmed that Kyle got the vote he was delighted, and feels he now goes in to the meeting with no pressure and everything to gain from the experience, and also to put himself in the shop window for a place in an European League, as the British Champion is looking at avenues of riding in Europe at some point in the not too distant future”.
This already is building up to be an exciting summer of Under 21 Speedway for British Speedway, as along with Round 2 of the Fim World Final on the 15th August , the following weekend is the Under 21 Team Semi Final in Germany, followed 7 days Later in Denmark by Adam Ellis riding in the Final of the European Under 21 Final.
