19th March 2015
With only two weeks in to the season and already having track time at various venues, which have included demonstration races at Swindon, Peterborough and King’s Lynn, the British Youth Riders have already have had many plaudits, not only from supporters but also from riders, promoters and team managers.
None more so than the current Great Britain and Swindon Team Manager Alun Rossiter.
Rosco witnessed the demonstrations races at both the Ben Fund Meeting which was hosted by his own club Swindon on the 8th March and also at Peterborough seven days later, when a GB Select team managed by Rosco raced at the East of England Showground.
Youth Team Boss Neil Vatcher said, I spoke to Rosco after last weekend and he was excited about seeing the young talent and is keen to help as many of the boys (and girls) to get as much track time as they can, after appreciating that the talent is filtering through.
Rosco spoke to his fellow Swindon Promoters, and have now confirmed that Swindon are keen to run as many 2nd Halves as possible for the British Youth Riders at the Wiltshire venue.
The first of these will be now run at the Swindon official opening meeting of the season, the Bob Kilby Memorial Meeting on 26th March, and will have demonstration rides from the 250cc class.
During the season we will organise for the different classes to showcase their talent.
Our thanks to Rosco and the Swindon Promotion for giving us the opportunity.
Today is the start of a busy weekend of demonstration races for the British Youth, as we showcase at Ipswich this evening (Thursday 19th) , The Elite League Riders at Leicester on Saturday 21st, and Sheffield on Sunday 22nd for Ricky Ashworth’s Big Day.
Our thanks to all the organisers of the different events for giving us the opportunities.
