European Under 19 Final

Another big weekend for the best British Under 19s Drew Kemp, Leon Flint, Jordan Palin and Daniel Gilkes as they compete In the FIM European Under 19 Final.  The meeting takes place in Riga, Latvia on Saturday afternoon with a start time of 2.15pm in the UK.

The British quartet will make the 3000 mile round trip to Riga after all four riders represented Team GB in the European Under 23 qualifier in Germany just 6 days ago.

British Under 21 Team Boss Neil Vatcher commented:

This is a relatively new competition which has only been running for a couple of seasons now, but each year the standard gets higher and higher.

This year’s final is extremely tough and looking at the starting list, all 16 riders are of a very high standard, although as this is a European Final, we would not expect there to be any easy races.

Kemp, Flint and Palin finished 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively in their Semi Finals which took place in the Czech Republic in June, whilst Gilkes makes the long trip to Latvia as first reserve after just missing out on full qualification by just 1 point in his Semi Final which took place in Hungary in May.
