With Josh Bailey ruled out for the rest of the 2016 season with a shoulder injury and Kelsey Dugard now unavailable, Cradley’s Ben Basford and Layne Cupitt from the Isle of Wight have now been promoted in to the main event of the British Under 19 Final to be held at Birmingham on Wednesday 14th September.
Basford who is hoping to compete in the end of season Play Offs with his club Cradley , and Cupitt, whose season has come alive since his recent move to the Island are both delighted now to have the opportunity to compete for a British Title, and both riders and now counting the days until the 14th.
So with both Basford and Cupitt now in the main event, Callum Walker of the Coventry Storm now will take the Number 17 race jacket and be the first reserve, and Kings Lynn’s Taylor Hampshire who won the Midland Development Championship at Scunthorpe on August Bank Holiday will take the number 18 race Jacket and be the second reserve.
