11th December 2015
It has been announced that the British Under 21 Semi Final will have a new venue in 2016 with Kent hosting it on Monday 11th April.
British Youth Boss Neil Vatcher said, we are delighted to have a new venue for this prestige event, and with Kent being such a great stadia, then I can not think of a better place to host it.
Kent hosted a successful British Under 19 Final in 2014, and it has been my intention to go back to Kent at some point soon, and my thanks must go to both Mr Len Silver, who has always been keen to support British Under 21 events, and Mr Roger Cearns for agreeing to this date.
Even at this very early stage, it is a date to be remembered for the Kent Faithful as they are bound to have some local interest in the Kings rider James Shanes, who will be one of the favourites to qualify for another appearance in a British Final.
With the selection of riders not being announced until March, British Youth Supporters are sure to have interest as a number of 2015 British Youth Riders are bound to be involved.
In recent seasons, the Semi Final has been held at Plymouth and Mildenhall, and it is an event that we like to share around the country, and 2016 is now the turn of Kent.
Our thanks go to the Kent promotion for agreeing to host the event, and the BSPA for supporting it.
