British rider Stefan Nielsen competes in Round 2 of the World Under 21 Final in Lublin Poland on Saturday night.
The Lublin meeting is Round 2 of 3, and Stefan is travelling across Europe to the eastern side of Poland in his attempt to finish higher than he did in round 1 in Italy, where after winning his first ride, ended up with a 5 point tally.
Nielsen said, “of course there are no easy races, as this is the top 16 Junior riders across the world, and I go to Poland on Saturday evening in a positive spirit, and do the best I can in every heat, and then see where I end up at the end of the evening.
If I can get a top 8 finish that would be fantastic, and no reason why I can’t achieve that goal.”
British Youth Boss Neil Vatcher who is travelling out with Stefan, said the experience that Stefan will get racing in these events is invaluable and will benefit Stefan in his quest to reach the top of his chosen career.
Of course these are very tough meetings, but Stefan is a cool guy, and rarely gets fazed by the occasion, and the 15 other competitors will certainly know that they will have a young lion racing in the field.
Britain should have also had Kyle Howarth racing in this event, but Howarth crashed at Workington last Saturday and got concussion , and has been unfortunatly ruled out of Saturday meeting, although he is planning on being fit for the World Team Under 21 Semi Final in Germany 7 days later.
After Saturday’s round 2 of the Under 21s, the 3rd and final round will be held at Pardubice Czech Republic on the 19th September.
Stefan would like to thank all his sponsors, and those people who have supported him to ride in these World Finals, and also the BSPA and SCB for all their help and support.
