500cc British Youth Champion will get Under 19s Final Wild Card

18th April 2015

Following on from the announcement of Berwick hosting the British Under 19 Final on Saturday 12th September, it has been announced today that the winner of the British Youth Championship in the 500cc class will get a Wild Card for the Under 19 Final.

GB Youth Boss Neil Vatcher said, “this is exciting news for the riders competing in the 500cc Youth Series, not only are they now competing to become British Champion over the 6 round series spread across the summer, but just 7 days after being crowned British Champion at the Final Round at Redcar on the 5th September they will be competing against the the best of British at Under 19 Level.

To ride in a British Final at any level is prestige, but to compete in one just 7 days after being crowned British Youth Champion is very special indeed.”

With only 3 weeks to go for the 1st round to staged at Scunthorpe on Sunday 10th May, it is all building up to be an exciting summer of British Youth Speedway, and if any British Speedway supporters can make any of the rounds with the standard higher than its ever been before, then supporters are guaranteed not to disappointed with the calibre of racing.
