Oliver Bovingdon British 125cc Champion
Oliver Bovingdon won the British 125cc Championship in dramatic fashion in the 7th and final round of the British Youth Championship for the 125cc Class at Scunthorpe last night, taking the title in a run off with round winner Archie Rolph.
Rolph knew he had to beat Bovingdon in the final race to force a run off for the British title, which he did, but Bovingdon kept his nerve and won the deciding run off from the inside gate with Rolph on his back wheel for the whole 4 laps.
Ollie Binns edged out Casper Kluczniak for the series bronze medal ending up in 3rd place overall. Rolph and Bovingdon were 1st and 2nd in Round 7 with Harry Fletcher 3rd.
Ashton Boughen all but clinched the 500cc Championship winning his 5th Round meaning he just needs to attend the Round at Belle Vue in 2 weeks time to clinch his first British Title.
Jody Scott took the Runners up spot in front of Ashton Vale at the Scunthorpe round.
Our thanks again to all of our series sponsors.
