Report

Following on from the success of the demonstration races at the Ben Fund at Swindon the previous weekend, another successful day at Rory Schlein’s Testimonial, this time with just five 125cc riders.

Each rider had four races in total; three qualifying races and a final.

Harry McGurk started the evening in fine form, with two fast starts, blitzing the opposition and at that point looked unbeatable.

Jason Edwards and Kyle Bickley fought out for second and third, with Jordan Palin and Sam Stead racing for the minor places.

By the third race, Bickley had got dialled in to the fast Kings Lynn circuit and won heat 3 with Edwards getting his third second place, and McGurk running a third, there was a real good  battle between Palin and Stead for fourth with Stead just holding on.

Top Scorer McGurk had first pick for the gate position in the Final and went off the favourable gate three, Edwards choose the outside gate five and Bickley went inbetween in gate four.

Edwards made a lightening start and led for two and a half laps, with both Bickley and McGurk not far behind.

On the third corner of lap three, Bickley made a big swoop around the outside of Edwards in what can only be described a fantastic move and went on to win the Final.

Our Thanks go to Rory Schlein for agreeing to let the British Youth have a great evening of speedway action.

Kings Lynn promoter Buster Chapman was so impressed with the quality of the British Youth Riders, that he has offered to host a Youth Round in 2016.

Another great day, and we now move on to Ipswich for the Billy Sanders Memorial this Thursday, where four 250cc riders are doing three demo races.
