British Youth Championship – Scunthorpe

The British Youth Championship moves onto Scunthorpe this evening, following the KO Cup Quarter Final between the Scorpions and the Birmingham Brummies.

This event is just for the 250cc class and the 125cc Support class, with the 500cc and 125cc Championship classes taking to the track at Scunthorpe on the 7th July.

After a busy weekend at Edinburgh and Workington, the 125cc support class will see another good turnout with 13 riders taking part, including the two winners from last weekend, Lewis Hague and Kane Newby.

The 250cc class has a smaller number of riders for this round with William Cairns and Cooper Rushen both previous winners last weekend, unfortunately unavailable, but their absence provides the opportunity for riders including Jamie Etherington and Seth Norman, the chance to claim their first win in the 250cc class.

After tonight’s event, the series moves on to Redcar for a full round on Saturday 17th June at a 12pm start time.

The Young Lions would like to thank the Scunthorpe Promotion and the Young Lions series sponsors for their continued support of British Youth Speedway.
