19th February 2017
Young Lions Management in association with Plymouth Speedway can now confirm that the 2017 British Under 19 Final will be held at the St Boniface Arena Plymouth on Thursday 6th July.
The British Under 19 Final is an event that gets shared around the country, with the last three finals being at Kent, Berwick and Birmingham, so this year it is the turn of the South West.
GB Youth Boss Neil Vatcher said, “in previous years we have struggled to find a venue for it, but in the last three or four years clubs have now applied to host the event, as the quality of these young British Riders are getting a much higher standard.
With the 2016 Under 19 Champion Max Clegg now being ineligible, there will be crowned a new British Champion on the night, and some of the early favourites will be the likes of Dan Bewley, Nathan Greaves and Zach Wajknecht, also not forgetting 2016 Under 19 third place rider Jack Smith and Sheffield and Birmingham 16 year old sensation Jack Parkinson Blackburn.
The home supporters will also have plenty to cheer with both Callum Walker and Henry Atkins expected to be in the 16.”
The Young Lions would like to request if any company would like to sponsor each of the riders with a new tyre for the British Final, then please contact the Young Lions by email at firstname.lastname@example.org and their company logo will be on the front of the race jacket as well as being named as one of the meeting sponsors.
